Annika Kappner is an artist who creates multi-sensory compositions in the extensive field of painting, installations, sculpture, sound and performances. She makes, as she calls it, 'sensory-senographies', with the intention of bringing people into contact with our environment in a different way. Not only visually or by means of sound, but also with the other senses. For example by touch, smell or the feeling of movement. And also through inner images, through guided mediation. With her research she exposes the multi-layeredness of our perception. In this podcast we listen to Annika about her sources of inspiration and how she explores alternative ways to experience the world around us. In what (other) ways could we perceive the world? And why should we make even make an effort?
